Basketball Recap: Tuscarawas Valley Comes Up Short

Tuscarawas Valley has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 54-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hiland Hawks on Thursday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 52-47 back in December of 2024.

Tuscarawas Valley's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Hiland, their win bumped their record up to 14-3.

Tuscarawas Valley will head out on the road to square off against John Glenn at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. John Glenn will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Tuscarawas Valley surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hiland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sandy Valley at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Sandy Valley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
