Basketball Game Preview: Silverdale Academy Seahawks vs. Signal Mountain Eagles

The Silverdale Academy Seahawks will head out on the road to face off against the Signal Mountain Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Tuesday, Silverdale Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 38-32 to Notre Dame.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Signal Mountain). They claimed a resounding 81-19 victory over Whitwell. With the Eagles ahead 61-6 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

The win (which was Signal Mountain's third in a row) raised their record to 14-10. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.7 points per game. As for Silverdale Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-16.

Silverdale Academy ended up a good deal behind Signal Mountain in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, losing 61-44. Can Silverdale Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
