Volleyball Recap: Lyons Snags Seventh Win in Last Nine Games

After losing to Maine West the last time they met, Lyons decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Lions came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 2-0 on Saturday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lyons to victory, but perhaps none more so than Julia Ahrens, who had eight digs and five assists. Madison Jones also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Lyons has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season. As for Maine West, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-19.

Lyons has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Sandburg on the 18th. As for Maine West, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Hersey on the 18th.
