Volleyball Recap: Evans Comes Up Short

Evans was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Edgewater Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Thursday.

Evans' defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Edgewater, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season.

Evans will be taking part in a tournament against Ocoee at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Trojans are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Edgewater, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Crooms Academy at 6:30 p.m.
