Basketball Recap: Gladstone Takes a Loss

Gladstone was the 51-40 winner over Newport when they last played one another back in December of 2015, but their luck changed this time around. The Gladstone Gladiators took a 51-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Newport Cubs on Friday. The game marked the Gladiators' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Gladstone is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9. As for Newport, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-4.

When Gladstone and Newport next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Gladstone will try to stop Madras' four-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Newport will challenge North Marion and their six-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
