Softball Recap: South Gibson Takes a Loss

South Gibson blew Covington out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Covington got their revenge. The Hornets fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 4-2. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

South Gibson's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-8. As for Covington, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-12-1 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Covington beat South Gibson by a score of 4-2 later that day.
