Show Low faced Snowflake in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Cougars who were credited with the victory. The Show Low Cougars got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Snowflake Lobos' four. This was payback for Show Low, who suffered a 2-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Alex Montas, who's now up to 11 this season.

Show Low is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 33 goals over those eight matchups. As for Snowflake, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
