Baseball Recap: Howard Tech Takes a Loss

Howard Tech was the 4-3 winner over Tyner Academy when they last played one another last Friday, but their luck changed this time around. The Hustlin' Tigers fell 12-8 to the Rams on Friday. The Hustlin' Tigers' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Jamal Cal made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Eusi Hamilton, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Howard Tech's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Tyner Academy, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Howard Tech will take on Sequoyah at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Tyner Academy, they will square off against Marion County at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
