Football Recap: West's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Seven + How To Watch

West waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They claimed a resounding 69-6 victory over the Cyprus Pirates. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 55-6.

Louie Hamilton had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 186 yards and five scores on only 14 carries, while also picking up 67 receiving yards and one TD. Another signal caller making a difference was Kamden Lopati, who threw for 185 yards and three touchdowns on only 16 passes.

Another reason for the win was West's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for 14 sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Manu Tua'One and Takeshi Savery, who racked up six sacks between them. With that strong performance, Savery is now averaging an impressive 5.1 total tackles per game.

West's record now sits at 9-1. As for Cyprus, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.
