Baseball Game Preview: Mapleton Mounties vs. Monroeville Eagles

For the second straight game, Mapleton will face off against Monroeville. The Mounties will be playing at home against the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games Mapleton has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Mapleton is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They fell just short of Monroeville by a score of 10-9 on Monday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Gabe Wrobleski made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, four runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Jenkins, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Monroeville is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Mapleton, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-16.
