Basketball Recap: St. Joseph Falls to Seton Hall Prep in First Game of Season

St. Joseph had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a blow against the Seton Hall Prep Pirates, falling 72-36. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Dylan Guzzardo had a dynamite game for Seton Hall Prep, putting up 21 points along with six assists and five steals. The dominant performance gave Guzzardo a new career-high in assists. Anthony Gonzalez was another key player, posting ten points.

The victory made it two in a row for Seton Hall Prep and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Joseph will take on Monroe Township in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Seton Hall Prep, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Weequahic at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
