Softball Recap: Livermore Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

Livermore won the last time they faced Dougherty Valley and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Cowboys blew past the Wildcats 12-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cowboys.

Kaci Norton tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned runs off eight hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Sophia Gerochi, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Kerigan Coates also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Livermore always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dougherty Valley only posted an OBP of .360.

Livermore pushed their record up to 15-8 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Dougherty Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-9.
