Volleyball Recap: University Prep Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

University Prep had won two straight games and Maya Tabarez did her part to make it three on Tuesday. The Panthers blew past the Yreka Miners 3-0 thanks in part to Tabarez, who had 21 digs and two assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

University Prep never let Yreka on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-17, 25-23.

University Prep's win bumped their record up to 24-8. As for Yreka, their defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-14.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. University Prep will challenge rival Lassen at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Yreka is set to take on their familiar foe West Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
