If Lake Ridge Academy wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Black River, they should've done a better job of containing Remington Dieter. The Pirates blew past the Royals 3-0 on Monday with plenty of help from Dieter, who had 13 digs and three aces. She has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last seven times she's played.

While Black River won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-8, 25-23.

Black River has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Black River will take on Mansfield Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lake Ridge Academy, they will square off against Oberlin at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
