Basketball Recap: Rockwall Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Rockwall couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a blow against the Duncanville Panthers and Pantherettes on Friday, falling 79-30. Having soared to a lofty 60 points in the game before, the Yellowjackets couldn't push the score so high this time.

Duncanville found their leader in sophomore Beckham Black, who went 7-for-9 en route to 18 points. The dominant performance gave Black a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayden Edwards, who shot 62% from the field on his way to 18 points.

The defeat snapped Rockwall's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 25-10 record. As for Duncanville, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 25-7.

Rockwall does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Duncanville, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 77-74 victory against Allen on the 4th.
