Organ Mountain extends road winning streak to six

Recap: Organ Mountain Knights vs. Alamogordo Tigers

The Organ Mountain Knights had already won 14 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.6 points), and they went ahead and made it 15 on Friday. They came out on top against Alamogordo by a score of 56-43. This was payback for Organ Mountain, who suffered a 63-52 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Organ Mountain was led to victory by YehNhi Wilson and Brandon Kehres. Wilson scored 13 points along with five assists and five rebounds, while Kehres dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. Wilson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Patrick Delahoussaye, who scored eight points.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jason Warren, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. Damiran Smith was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals and two blocks.

Organ Mountain pushed their record up to 16-1 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Alamogordo, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Organ Mountain will face off against Las Cruces at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Organ Mountain is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 61.3 points per game this season. As for Alamogordo, they will head out on the road to face off against Mayfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Alamogordo focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday.
