Volleyball Recap: Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Comes Up Short

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe lost against Union County back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Warriors took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-19.

Marlee Johnson paced Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe's offense, picking up six kills. Johnson got some help from Kinley Slatton and her five assists.

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe's loss dropped their record down to 12-29. As for Union County, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-14.

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Union County, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Coahulla Creek on the 11th.
