Basketball Recap: Fort Campbell Comes Up Short

Fort Campbell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Montgomery Central Indians an easy 67-46 victory. The Falcons were not able to make up for their loss to the Indians from their previous meeting back in February.

Despite the loss, Fort Campbell still got an impressive performance from Tyrek Anthony, who went 9 for 19 on his way to 21 points. The match was Anthony's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Israel Dillard was another key player, going 5 for 11 on his way to 13 points.

Fort Campbell's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Montgomery Central, with the win, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-6.

Fort Campbell has already played their next contest, a 70-69 loss against Smyrna on the 21st. Montgomery Central and McKenzie will round out the year against one another at at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
