It's playoff time, and Sarasota had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 66-55 win over the Plant Panthers on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Sailors sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Sarasota's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Greg Dauer led the charge by going 7-for-8 en route to 20 points and three steals. Those 20 points gave Dauer a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Johnny Lackaff, who posted 17 points and six rebounds.

Sarasota's record is now 24-6. As for Plant, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-7.

Sarasota will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Oak Ridge at 3:00 p.m. on the 13th. The Sailors will be up against the Pioneers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 58.55 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Plant does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
