Baseball Recap: Pleasant Grove Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Pleasant Grove waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Laguna Creek Cardinals. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 on Monday.

Gabe Wolfgram was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brayden Boyle, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Pleasant Grove was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Laguna Creek only posted a batting average of .200.

Pleasant Grove's win bumped their record up to 15-11. As for Laguna Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-12.

Pleasant Grove will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cardinals: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
