Basketball Game Preview: Bishop McGuinness Fighting Irish vs. Crossings Christian Knights

The Bishop McGuinness Fighting Irish will head out to take on the Crossings Christian Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bishop McGuinness is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.6 points per game this season.

Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Bishop McGuinness beat Heritage Hall 51-45. Given the Fighting Irish's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 91st, while the Chargers are ranked 315th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hudson Mccormick continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten boards. That's the most rebounds he has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jackson Stone, who posted ten points and six boards.

Bishop McGuinness smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Crossings Christian's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Millwood on Tuesday. Crossings Christian claimed a resounding 89-50 victory over Harding Prep. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 21 points or more this season.

Bishop McGuinness' record now sits at 8-4. As for Crossings Christian, their record is now 10-2.
