Recap: Villa Angela-St. Joseph Vikings vs. Rhodes Rams
The Villa Angela-St. Joseph Vikings came tearing into Saturday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Rhodes by a score of 73-65. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Villa Angela-St. Joseph to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sean Shenker, who scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Antonio Brown, who scored 16 points.
Villa Angela-St. Joseph has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Rhodes, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
Villa Angela-St. Joseph will head out on the road to challenge University School at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. University School is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Rhodes, they will play host again and welcome Garrett Morgan, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Garrett Morgan will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 740th, while Rhodes is ranked 345th).
