Basketball Recap: Mahomet-Seymour Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Mahomet-Seymour and Mt. Zion squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Mahomet-Seymour had to settle for second. They lost 66-45 to the Mt. Zion Braves. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Braves recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Mahomet-Seymour's defeat dropped their record down to 16-12. As for Mt. Zion, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 24-9.

Mahomet-Seymour does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mt. Zion, they will face off against Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mt. Zion knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten contests -- so hopefully Lincoln likes a good challenge.
