Recap: Statesville Greyhounds vs. North Iredell Raiders
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Statesville Greyhounds ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They walked away with an 83-74 win over North Iredell. The win was familiar territory for Statesville who now have five in a row.
Mekiaun Davis continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Tillman, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds.
Statesville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season. As for North Iredell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-8.
Statesville won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Carson at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th. Carson has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 601 points over their last eight contests. As for North Iredell, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against East Lincoln at 7:30 p.m.
