Soccer Game Preview: Patrick County vs. Carroll County

Patrick County hasn't had much luck against Carroll County recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Cougars will face off against the Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

It was a proper cat-fight when Patrick County challenged Radford on Tuesday. The Cougars came up short against the Bobcats, falling 4-0.

Meanwhile, Carroll County managed to keep up with Pulaski County until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Cavaliers lost 3-0 to the Cougars.

Carroll County's loss dropped their record down to 0-3-1. As for Patrick County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Patrick County might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Carroll County when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
