Baseball Recap: McNairy Central Comes Up Short

McNairy Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Jackson South Side Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-6 on Tuesday.

Will Glidewell was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits.

McNairy Central's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Jackson South Side, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-5.

Coming up, McNairy Central will face off against Bolivar Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jackson South Side, they will square off against Jackson Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
