Volleyball Recap: Rice Consolidated Comes Up Short

Rice Consolidated had taken Fayetteville down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Raiders fell 2-0 to the Lions. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-16.

Rice Consolidated has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Fayetteville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-8.

Rice Consolidated didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Palacios on the 29th. As for Fayetteville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent on the 29th.
