Football Game Preview: Calexico Bulldogs vs. Central Spartans

Calexico is 0-10 against Central since October of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Calexico was beaten by Imperial 34-6. The game marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Calexico got top-tier performance from Andre Lopez, who rushed for 100 yards and one touchdown, and also picked up 42 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, while it was Central who put the first points on the board on Friday, it was Holtville who put up more. The Spartans took a 32-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings. While the Spartans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Vikings 7-0 in the first quarter.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Calexico, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
