Basketball Game Preview: Loyola Crusaders vs. St. James Saints

The Loyola Crusaders just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the St. James Saints at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Thursday, Loyola didn't have quite enough to beat Alden-Conger/Glenville-Emmons and fell 51-49.

Meanwhile, St. James ended up a good deal behind Pipestone on Tuesday and lost 66-50. The Saints have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Loyola's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for St. James, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.

Everything came up roses for Loyola against St. James when the teams last played back in December of 2016, as the team secured an 80-18 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Loyola since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
