Baseball Game Preview: Monson Mustangs vs. South Hadley Tigers

Monson is 1-6 against South Hadley since April of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Mustangs will host the Tigers at 4:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Monson lost 9-1 to Pioneer Valley Regional on Monday.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for South Hadley's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Easthampton/Hampshire on Monday. The Tigers' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

South Hadley now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Monson, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

Monson came out on top in a nail-biter against South Hadley in their previous meeting on April 10th, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
