University Lab won the last time they faced Maurepas and things went their way on Wednesday too. Everything went the University Lab Cubs' way against the Maurepas Wolves as the University Lab Cubs made off with a 16-6 win. The Cubs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by ten runs or more this season.

Gabby Fontenot made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season.

In other batting news, London Harvey was a standout: she scored three runs and stole Four bases. while going 3-for-4. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Charlotte Lowe, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple.

University Lab was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .424. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in four consecutive contests.

The victory got University Lab back to even at 4-4. As for Maurepas, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
