Football Recap: Sarah T. Reed Takes a Loss

Sarah T. Reed fell victim to Metairie Park Country Day and their airtight defense on Friday. They were outmatched by the Cajuns and fell 49-0. The shutout was out of character for the Olympians seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

Hudson Wright produced another solid performance throwing for 277 yards and six touchdowns while completing 94.1% of his passes for Metairie Park Country Day. Wright is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: he's passed for at least four every time he's taken the field this season. Kellen Brewer did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 87 receiving yards.

This is the second loss in a row for Sarah T. Reed and nudges their season record down to 1-6. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 5-1 South Plaquemines (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 77.4% over those games). As for Metairie Park Country Day, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.
