Basketball Game Preview: Grosse Ile Red Devils vs. Summerfield Bulldogs

The Grosse Ile Red Devils will challenge the Summerfield Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Monday, Grosse Ile took a blow against St. Mary Catholic Central, falling 62-32. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 438th, while the Falcons/Kestrels are ranked 22nd).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Summerfield, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Erie-Mason 64-32. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 22 points or more this season.

Grosse Ile has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season. As for Summerfield, their victory bumped their record up to 13-6.
