Baseball Recap: Lindhurst Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Lindhurst dropped their record down to 8-16 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins on the road. They came up short against the Rio Vista Rams, falling 8-2. Having soared to a lofty 30 runs in the game before, the Blazers couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Rio Vista, they pushed their record up to 11-10 with the win, which was their third straight at home. They haven't had any issues with Lindhurst recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

For Rio Vista's part, Leland Jennings spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on one hit and racked up nine Ks. Jennings has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Rio Vista got a massive performance out of John Brimmer, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs Brimmer has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Frisbie, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Coming up, Rio Vista will head out to face off against Delta at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lindhurst will be paying especially close attention to the Rams' contest: after the Rams face off against the Saints, they'll take on Lindhurst again at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
