Basketball Game Preview: Crete-Monee Warriors vs. Bloom Blazing Trojan

Crete-Monee is 0-10 against Bloom since January of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. The Crete-Monee Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Bloom Blazing Trojan at 6:30 p.m. Bloom took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Crete-Monee, who comes in off a win.

Crete-Monee will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two points last Sunday, then bounced right back against Joliet West on Saturday. Crete-Monee came out on top against Joliet West by a score of 57-50. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Bloom has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 64-57 to Gary West Side on Saturday.

Crete-Monee pushed their record up to 11-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.5 points per game. As for Bloom, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.

Crete-Monee came up short against Bloom when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 55-42. Can Crete-Monee avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
