Softball Recap: Simley Comes Up Short

Simley and Becker squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Simley had to settle for second. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. Considering the last time the Spartans couldn't score was back in April, the team can't take the result too hard.

The loss snapped Simley's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-11 record. As for Becker, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Simley didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-1 defeat against Mankato East on the 4th. As for Becker, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Rocori on the 4th.
