Basketball Recap: Jefferson Victorious

Jefferson's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They had just enough and edged the Celina Bulldogs out 51-49. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 65-44 win the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Jefferson's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Celina, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

Jefferson and Celina could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Jefferson (ranked 617th) will meet Ottoville (ranked 271st) at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Celina will challenge Shawnee at 6:30 p.m. on Friday down 584 places (595 vs. 11).
