Meanwhile, Holy Names Academy started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Bishop Blanchet. They fell 10-7 to the Bears on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for Holy Names Academy in their meetings with Bishop Blanchet: they've now lost five in a row.

Ella McFarlane was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Cora Hardenbrook, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
