The Pilgrim Academy came into Thursday's match looking for another win against Atlantic Christian, but Gianna Flynn wouldn't allow it. The Atlantic Christian Cougars had just enough and edged The Pilgrim Academy Pioneers out 26-23 thanks in part to Flynn, who went 6-for-12 on her way to 13 points and three steals. What's more, she also posted a 50% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's posted since back in December of 2024.

The Pilgrim Academy's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isabella Cosme, who posted six points along with six rebounds and three steals. Cosme has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Addison Brittin was another key player, putting up seven points.

The win got Atlantic Christian back to even at 9-9-1. As for The Pilgrim Academy, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Coming up, Atlantic Christian will square off against Cape May County Tech at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for The Pilgrim Academy, they will take on Oakcrest at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
