Softball Recap: Mcarthur Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

McArthur strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They were the clear victors by a 22-3 margin over the Deerfield Beach Bucks. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Aleyda Zamore made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Zamore was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs and two RBI.

In other batting news, McArthur got a massive performance out of Davilegni Turner, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with seven RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Alexa Arias, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one double.

McArthur always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .694. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .694 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

McArthur's victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McArthur will square off against Flanagan at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Deerfield Beach, they will challenge Everglades at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
