Baseball Recap: Conifer Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Conifer had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt D'Evelyn on Saturday. The Lobos blew past the Jaguars 6-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Lobos have posted against the Jaguars since April 18, 2023.

Brandon Roe made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 11 over 6.2 innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Luke Adams, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Romey Haydon, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

The victory (which was Conifer's third in a row) raised their record to 9-6-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games.
