Volleyball Recap: Tampa Bay HEAT's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Tampa Bay HEAT can now relate to. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sports Leadership & Management Spartans on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Sports Leadership & Management this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in March.

Tampa Bay HEAT started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-18, 25-23, 26-24.

The loss snapped Tampa Bay HEAT's winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 17-13 record. As for Sports Leadership & Management, they pushed their record up to 24-0 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.

Tampa Bay HEAT does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sports Leadership & Management, they will venture away from home to square off against True North Classical Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Titans will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight.
