Chapmanville Regional put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Their defense stepped up to hand the Man Hillbillies a 55-0 shutout. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Tigers had established a 48-point advantage.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chapmanville Regional to victory, but perhaps none more so than Preston Kovach, who rushed for 122 yards and three scores on only 11 carries. Kovach is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 118 every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dakota Dalton, who threw for 203 yards and three TDs while completing 73.3% of his passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Chapmanville Regional was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 260 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 172 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Chapmanville Regional's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Man, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Chapmanville Regional will head out to face off against Wayne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Man, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Scott at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th.
