Baseball Game Preview: Washougal Panthers vs. Columbia River Rapids

For the second straight game, Washougal will face off against Columbia River. The Panthers will host the Rapids at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Washougal hasn't scored more than two runs for three games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Last Wednesday, Washougal didn't have quite enough to beat Columbia River and fell 3-2.

Washougal saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen MacDonald, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. MacDonald also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

The win was the fourth in a row for Columbia River, bringing their record up to 5-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Washougal, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
