Basketball Game Preview: Trinity Christian Lions vs. Southwest Christian School Eagles

The Trinity Christian Lions will challenge the Southwest Christian School Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Southwest Christian School will be up against a hot Trinity Christian team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. Trinity Christian blew past Coram Deo Academy 72-35 two weeks ago. Trinity Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 23 points or more this season.

Trinity Christian found their leader in sophomore Lucai Anderson, who went 9 of 19 on his way to 23 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. The game was Anderson's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Jett Mccasland was another key player, going 5 for 10 en route to 14 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Southwest Christian School unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Grace Prep and fell 97-59. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 762nd, while the Lions are ranked 140th).

Trinity Christian's victory bumped their record up to 15-12. As for Southwest Christian School, their loss dropped their record down to 7-17.
