Baseball Game Preview: Depew Wildcats vs. Cheektowaga Chargers

For the second straight game, Depew will face off against Cheektowaga. The Wildcats will welcome the Chargers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Depew came out on top against Cheektowaga on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run first inning. The Wildcats took their contest against the Chargers 9-6.

Depew got a massive performance out of Lucas Spruch, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. Those runs were Spruch's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Scibetta, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Depew lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

The win got Depew back to even at 2-2. As for Cheektowaga, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Depew has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Cheektowaga struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
