Baseball Recap: Jessieville Takes a Loss

Jessieville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 15-10 to the Prescott Curley Wolves. Even if the Lions couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Daniel Dellis made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI and one triple. That triple was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Levi Anderson, who scored three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Jessieville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Prescott, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jessieville will host Harmony Grove at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Prescott, they will be playing at home against Genoa Central at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Dragons' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Curley Wolves' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
