George County extended their winning streak to eight on Friday, bumping them up to 10-4. Everything went their way against the Brandon Bulldogs as they made off with an 8-1 win. For the Rebels, this counts as revenge for the 11-0 victory the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2017.

Addison Davis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on one hit and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jordyn Bradley, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Addisyn Chavers, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

As for Brandon, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 8-2 record. The matchup marked their lowest-scoring game so far this season.

On Brandon's side, Hannah Jo Sullivan was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Looking ahead, George County will square off against St. Martin at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Brandon, they will head out to square off against Petal at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Bulldogs' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
