Football Recap: St. Brendan Comes Up Short

The St. Brendan Sabres were beaten by the NSU University Sharks 42-6 on Friday. The Sabres have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jayden Miller continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for NSU University, throwing for 189 yards and one touchdown, while also rushing for 31 yards and one score. That's the most rushing yards Miller has posted since back in October of 2024. Carlos Avila-Lopez got in on the action as well, returning a kick for a touchdown.

St. Brendan's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for NSU University, they pushed their record up to 5-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, St. Brendan will take on Immaculata-La Salle at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Royal Lions' defense has only allowed 4.6 points per game this season, so the Sabres' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for NSU University, they will face off against Ransom Everglades at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
