Softball Recap: Brooke Comes Up Short

Brooke was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 17-7 to the Edison Wildcats. The Bruins were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Emma Hayman was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Emilee McKinney was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

Brooke's loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

While they had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
